🧠 How I Use ChatGPT to Manage My ADHD Life & Business
13 practical ways I’ve made AI part of my everyday systems
ChatGPT has genuinely changed my life.
As someone who’s neurodivergent—ADHD, autistic, and living with hypermobility—running a business and staying on top of life requires more than a planner or a productivity app. I need something that helps me think, plan, process, and take action… without judgment.
That’s where ChatGPT comes in.
Over the last year, it’s become one of my most-used tools. Not because it’s trendy, but because it works with how my brain functions. It helps me simplify decisions, build routines, structure my content, and get unstuck when I don’t know where to begin.
In this post, I’m breaking down the 13 real ways I use ChatGPT to organize my life and business as a neurodivergent entrepreneur.
1. Breaking Down Overwhelming Tasks
When something feels too big to start, I paste it into ChatGPT and ask:
“Can you break this down into small steps?”
It gives me a list I can follow instead of just stressing about it.
2. Creating Flexible Weekly Routines
My energy shifts every day. ChatGPT helps me design routines that account for that—ones with buffer time, movement breaks, and gentle structure that won’t break down the second I miss something.
3. Walking Me Through Confusing Processes
I’ve used it to help with taxes, online applications, and form-filling tasks. When I feel stuck, I describe where I’m at and ask, “What do I do next?” It guides me through step by step.
4. Building Wellness Systems
From meal planning to movement routines, ChatGPT helps me make a structure that matches my goals—especially when I’m trying to build habits that support both my physical and mental health.
5. Organizing My Digital Life
I’ve asked it to help me clean up my Google Drive, sort files, rename documents, and even plan a monthly digital cleanup system. It helps cut through the clutter when I don’t have the capacity to decide where to begin.
6. Simplifying Home Systems
When I wanted to create a skincare routine that worked with my hypermobility, ChatGPT helped me list what I already had and plan something realistic. I’ve also used it for creating cleaning systems that won’t overwhelm me.
7. Designing Business Systems I Can Stick To
I’ve used it to outline content workflows, client onboarding steps, follow-up reminders, and simple launch prep plans. These aren’t just templates—they’re custom workflows that match how I operate.
8. Organizing Content & Course Ideas
When I’m brainstorming for my book or YouTube channel, I’ll brain dump a list and ask ChatGPT to help me group or sequence the ideas. It helps me see structure where I used to just see chaos.
9. Planning Multi-Platform Content
I’ll tell it what platforms I use and how often I want to post, and it gives me a rhythm I can actually manage—without burning out. I’ve even asked it to help me theme days or batch content.
10. Thumbnail and Visual Planning
This one’s more creative: I describe the vibe of a video or piece of content, and it gives me layout or style ideas that I can then build in Canva. It helps me start without staring at a blank screen.
11. Reflecting Blind Spots and Patterns
Sometimes I’ll paste in a list of things I’ve done or habits I’m working on and ask, “What patterns do you notice?” ChatGPT helps me see what I might be missing or what I’ve been avoiding.
12. Processing Thoughts on Tough Days
If I’m feeling stuck, I’ve asked it to walk me through reflective questions. It’s not therapy, but it’s surprisingly helpful for naming what’s going on and helping me refocus.
13. Looking Back to Look Forward
I use ChatGPT to spot themes in my past notes or goals. It helps me see what I keep returning to—and where I might need to let go or shift direction.
So, is ChatGPT my life coach?
No. But it’s a tool that lets me be more of my own coach. It helps me take action faster, see myself more clearly, and build systems that don’t rely on motivation alone.
This isn’t about automating my life.
It’s about building scaffolding that helps me move forward—especially on the days when my brain feels like it’s working against me.

Let me know if you’ve used ChatGPT yet?
Great email, great video and omg thanks so much for the shout out!! I started watching before I saw that you featured me and really appreciate it. 😊 Also, my substack this morning is fairly similar so may be worth checking it out as well 😂
Thank you for this email. On April 18th, my husband of 35 years was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
I've always been good at planning. I can list goals and break them down. (Prioritization and getting things done? Not so much.) My motto is "Never give up. Never surrender."
I've always either known what the next step was, dived in to figure it out, and/or find resources.
Not since April 18th. I was drowning and had no idea what to do. There was SO MUCH to do and my brain wouldn't settle. I remembered this email and went to ChatGPT.
"We're putting together goals for my husband who has forth stage lung cancer. Make a list of physical, mental, medical, services, finance, end of life, and putting affairs in order goals."
It gave me a place to start and settled down my lizard brain.
Thank you again. This was very timely and saved my sanity.
